So you've got a few bottles to keep the family happy, those crowd pleasers that'll go great with the whole Thanksgiving table. But what do you do when you are wanting to impress? You want to bring a bottle to knock the socks off the whole Thanksgiving party? Well, we love to impress here at Crown and want to help you do just that!

First thing to remember, you can get amazing wine without having to pay astronomical prices. While we are more than happy to help you pick out a $1000 bottle, there are plenty of options for a fraction of that price that will truly impress!

We often suggest letting the wine do the talking, try something new that one of the great associates at Crown can help you learn about.

Let's talk reds! Into cabs? Try an excellent Left Bank Bordeaux, these wines don't typically come cheap, but they are a delicious new experience for Cab drinkers. Looking for Pinot Noir? Try some single vineyard wines, for Pinot the place really makes the wine, so single vineyard variations of this usually show off the wineries best sites, upping the complexity and enjoyment of the wine!

Maybe you need that white wine that people are blown away by, we are certainly bias, but love White Burgundy, these wines are 100% Chardonnay, but may not be what you expect. They are plenty complex but are made in a leaner style than many American Chards. We've also been loving some of the amazing white wines coming out of Italy, whether from the volcanic slopes of Mt. Etna or the rolling hills of Piedmont, some of the greatest, and least known about, white wines are being made here.

Finally, if bubbles are on the table we say opt for something that is vintage dated, typically sparkling wines are a blend of a few vintages, but the single vintage wines tend to be the top wines coming from a producer. Whether that is something like Schramsberg, out of Napa, or any of the many great vintage Champagnes we have, you can't go wrong. And remember, bubbles are always better out of a magnum!
